New info on the NCLEX
I was talking to a girl at work that is a Nursing student. She said one of her instructors just became one of the NCLEX exam writers. This instructor told the students something interesting that she had found out about the NCLEX. Because the test is computer adapted to each test taker that there are a lot of factors that determine how difficult or easy your next question might be. She said one of those factors is the amount of time you take to answer the question. The longer you take to answer the question, the computer figures you don't know the answer and are just guessing, even if you eventually answer correctly. I guess the take home message is. . .don't spend too much time reading and re-reading the questions, just use your test strategy to choose the most correct answer and move on. Just thought you all might want to know that. By the way, I passed my NCLEX a couple of weeks ago! It was the best Christmas present I could have received! Good luck everyone, I'm wishing the best for all of you.
